Welcome to our St. Cecilia Catholic School website.  We are pleased that you are taking time to learn about our amazing school where children grow in mind, body and spirit.

We are a community of learners, always focused on supporting our students in their strengths as well as their areas of growth.  Our small class sizes afford us the luxury of knowing each child well.  We strive to meet the needs of each individual child.

We offer a Catholic education steeped in our commitment to serving others and one another.  This year we’ll continue the tradition of a yearlong service project in each classroom.  Students will learn to share their many gifts and talents while respecting others of all ages and walks of life.

We integrate the fine arts into the curriculum.  Students work collaboratively and have experiences presenting their learning in a variety of ways.  Our daily Writers’ Workshop develops their confidence as writers by providing them the skills and allowing them to choose the topic of their writing.  Each unit culmintates with students publishing their piece; we celebrate the unit endings with publishing parties in which students provide one another feedback on their finished products.

We are in our fourth year of using the Singapore Math Program which has been used very successfully in the United States and in Singapore.  Our hands-on science program integrates mathematics into each unit.  Technology is used to support learning in all subjects. Storypath is used school-wide for Social Studies which allows students to build on their reservoir of knowledge through questioning, investigating and researching.

Students  participate in physical education, art and music on a weekly basis. Our Honors Choir sings at all school Masses and at special community events such as the Winter Wonderland Festival and the Bainbridge Island Gardens. New this year is our designated STEM Lab and Robotics Team of fourteen students.

Our Catholic faith is evident in teachers and students as we strive to uphold our foundational values of being respectful, responsible and collaborative.

Please call the school at 206-842-2017.  I welcome the opportunity to take you on a tour of St. Cecilia Catholic School.   Feel free to call me with questions.

Respectfully,

Susan Kilbane
