FAMILY CHALLENGE

Each month, we will unveil a destination/activity challenge for our SCCS families.  We live in a fabulous area of the country which provides many indoor and outdoor opportunities for learning and fun.  One of the six fundamentals of a healthy childhood includes movement in the outdoors;  our October Challenges provides both.   All FAMILY CHALLENGES activities directly relate to our mission. Our FAMILY CHALLENGE announcement will be on the first Friday of each month at a special Whole School Circle at 3:05 p.m. Please remember to snap a photo or two of your visit and email them to secretary@saintceciliaschool.org .

September Family Challenge is for every student to visit a LIBRARY with their family.  Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, Bremerton and Seattle all have great libraries; choose any library to visit.  Take a photo of your family at the LIBRARY and make a copy for us to post on our big bulletin board.

OCTOBER FAMILY CHALLENGE  is for every SCCS family to visit a CORN MAZE, PUMPKIN PATCH, or PUMPKIN WALK. Locations of each include:

Corn Maze –       Minder Farm Corn Maze – 1000 NE Gluds Pond Rd, Bremerton

Pumpkin Patch – 13274 Clear Creek Rd, Silverdale and 9227 NE Day Rd, Bainbridge Island

Pumpkin Walk – Bainbridge Gardens – 9415 Miller Rd. Oct. 13,14

Carving Pumpkins during October is a great way to engage in Creative play (another fundamental of healthy childhood).
