Along with principals throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle, I participated virtually in a day of learning, prayer and reflection entitled Christ in the Classroom Leadership Retreat on Prayer led by Fr. Bill Watson, S.J. (Sacred Story Institute, Seattle). Two concepts from the retreat jumped out at me:
Actively forgiving others and conscious gratitude build our immune system.
We are relational beings.
Forgiveness and gratitude are at the heart of our faith. We weave both into our daily life in school as we foster a culture of care.
Learning in school full-time is a precious gift. We are ever grateful for the opportunity each day to learn with and from one another.
