Love Your Neighbor

To celebrate Valentine’s Day in a positive way, Mrs. Lee-Despard and her students wrote Love Your Neighbor Notes on small heart shaped pieces of paper. Every 7th/8th grader wrote a message for each of their classmates and for their teacher, for Ms. Kiri and for me. All 16 heart-shaped messages were stapled together into a booklet and given out on Valentine’s Day.

Students were instructed to write something you admire about the person or write something encouraging.  Eva wrote to Lauren:

You are really funny, smart, and persistent. I like being in class with you! You make me laugh every single day and I really appreciate that.  I hope you have an amazing day!

What a wonderful way to focus on the positive by recognizing the goodness one another.  It doesn’t get any better than this!

With joy,
