Grace Notes for August 3

School Mass

Our tradition each year on the last day of school is to participate in School Mass.  This year two of our 8th graders who had graduated one week prior came with their parents to attend School Mass.

The feeling of joy was easy to spot on both Tim and Niall’s faces as they entered the church and sat down.  As they walked up to receive communion, big smiles washed across the faces of students and teachers kneeling in the pews.

The boys were 1st graders when I became principal in 2015. Being able to witness student learning and growth over so many years is unique to schools like ours serving students in  Pre-K through 8th grade.

What a blessing it was to have our recent graduates back for Mass.
